If you want to relax with the wonderful scent of herbs, you and your family can go to Ricola herb garden. The Ricola visitor garden in the hamlet of Blatten south of Zermatt offers a feast for all the senses. This is one of the entertaining and informative adventure for the whole family. The garden is idyllically located beside old Valais chalets in Blatten, below Furi, at an altitude of about 1700 meters. Here, you can get to know the 13 plants that go into Ricola’s world famous herb drops. Guests are not only allowed but actively encouraged to touch the herbs, rub them between their fingers, sniff and taste them. This is a wonderful way for children to enjoy all their senses and learn about herbs. The garden has information panels that describe each plant and its properties. The scent of the relaxing herbs and the views of the wooden chalets gives an excellent taste to the scene. Surrounded by alpine mountains, this is one of the most relaxing and educational adventure. They offer quizzes for learning and they have herbs such as horehound, burnet, cowslip, speedwell, plantain, yarrow, mallow, lady’s mantle, marshmallow, elder, peppermint, sage and thyme. The garden is absolutely wonderful during summer season from late June to September when the meadows around are green and the herbs give out wonderful scents.

The Snowpark Zermatt is the ultimate snow park for snowboarders and freestyle skiers complete with views of the Matterhorn. You can access by the cable car to Matterhorn glacier paradise at 3883 meters. Jibs, rails, boxes, tables, and kickers, there are great features to suit every taste at Zermatt’s thrilling Gravity Park. The snow park and its half-pipe are open nearly all year, and suitable for all levels of riders. If you and your children love to ski and snowboard with a little thrill, this is the place to do all. They have different levels for youngs, rookies, amateurs and pros so you can choose depending on your skills. During winter the snowpark is located on the Theodul Glacier by the Furggsattel chairlift and they have 1 half-pipe, 7 kickers, 9 jib elements such as rails and boxes. During summer the park is located on the Plateau Rosa and they have 1 half pipe and many other features but some are determined shortly before park is open depending on the condition of snow. If you and your family are more of snow boarder than skier, this is the place for you. During summer, you can have an excellent time in the warm weather with challenging and thrilling pipes and boxes to improve your skill or to enjoy the rush of adrenaline.
